The word “hope” has been bandied about rather generously lately. And many may have become jaded to it. But in the last few weeks, as the inauguration of Barack Obama has neared, as the feeling of helplessness and apathy in our government and our lives has reached a turning point, I believe it is a word of truth. A word of invigoration. An apt word. And, for me, at least, hope has become a reality.
