Okay, I generally, for the most part, hate organized sports, and find watching them on television to be completely inane and idiotic. Seen too many people get way too wrapped up in them for their own good. And, really, it’s just a stupid game. Get off your fat ass and go play it for yourself if you care that much.
That said, there are points and times when I do feel like commenting on sports, and even other “entertainments.” I do like watching hockey, because the sport fascinates me. How many other professional athletes play so many non-stop, highly physical and fast, intense games in their season? None. Now put that on ice.
I don’t go crazy about hockey, but it’s there. There are other sporting events I find intriguing, as well, usually winter events (and no, not snow-boarding or figure skating. Luge, x-country skiing, etc.). I also sometimes roam across an event or happening in the world of sports or other “entertainment” that really pisses me off, or makes me think.
This area will be a section for comments and remonstrances on such subjects. Maybe that way, I can keep the other areas clean from such a mess, and not force people to read about things they have no interest in at all (as most people I know could care less about any sports, much less hockey).
