This area is intended to be for reviews of books, movies, music and other things I consume. I’ll try and add links for each of these things, eventually, so readers can find their own copies if they’re interested.
As is my usual behaviour, I’ve been bouncing around between films lately. Mod stuff like “Absolute Beginners” and “Quadrophenia” (to suit my Vespa, of course), as well as mindless episodes of Futurama and Family Guy.
Also discovered HBOs “Carnivale” series on DVD. With its mysterious overtones and actions, as well as the religious facet (always a draw for me), it’s really piqued my interest.

I found Carnivale to be ultimately boring. It takes too long to go anywhere. That’s just me.
It sure is nice of me to post on your blog. You would think you would have returned the favor, but no. You haven’t even visited my blog, I bet.

Well, pooh on you for not liking Carnivale! You loved Twin Peaks, which took a lifetime or three to go anywhere, when it did. Carnivale has the dark, evil religious overtones I so crave. And, after having seen Nick Stahl (who plays Ben Hawkins, the lead character) in a production of Britten’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Met a few years back, he intrigues me.
And I have commented on your blog, so there! And just to prove I know where it is, I’ve added it to the “Blogroll” links in the right hand menu bar.
